SREC adult workshops are held primarily at the Davis Mountains Inn Studio Workshop. Artisans demonstrate and teach art, music, creative writing, gardening, canning, food preservation, landscaping, building trades, pottery, candy and candle making, quilting, music and other disciplines through workshops. Storefronts are available to market products, produce and artwork. SREC has facilities to host children’s workshops and also offers workshops on school campuses, expanding children’s horizons and teaching much needed life-skills in order to develop into well-balanced, informed young adults.  SREC takes full advantage of its Fort Davis location, near McDonald Observatory, to promote astronomy programs that inspire critical thinking in learners of all ages.
